I have to agree with that, as my call to them met with intelligent answers to my several questions, so I chose the Terra HD with 2 GB RAM, 500 GB HD, slim USB DVD-RW, 6-cell battery and colored red for easy ID. A little bigger than I was thinking, but we all have our sacrifices to make for our needed functionality. It will be here by Friday, so I'm eagerly anticipating its arrival so that I can load and compile the applications I regularly need and use. Thanks everyone for your very welcomed opinions in the matter.

I haven't been using it that much but so far, everything I have used functions without fuss: wireless, sound, graphics. did a standard install and it's fast enough for use but I did put a 2GB chip in it. I did find some significant graphics performance gain with the built-in Intel chipset by changing Option "AccelMethod" from "exa" to "uxa" in /etc/X11/xorg.conf, though. -- -John (john(a)os2.dhs.org)
