So rotate the frame far enough to correct for the tilt.

Then stop rotating.

Is that clear enough for you?

Are you absolutely sure you can't do it in Express? It's a pretty basic
motion effect. I don't have an FCE to play with.

Sorry for misunderstanding. What you suggest is, now, clear to me.
I will indeed try it, though my impression on reading documentation
about the feature seemed to imply that the effect would end at the
end frame.
