That is large only compared to typical household transformers, probably
not more than 200 kVA. Big is larger than a large moving van, say 10 ft
by 30 ft by 14 ft, well over 10 MVA.

read somewhere it was the breakdown of a electric generator

hard to see how the fuel line(s) on a ship that can use several
tons of HFO per hour is realisticly possible.
