In my first job, many sun orbits ago, I worked in a place that made transformers. One day we got a few transformers back from the Navy with the request if those could be 'refurbished'. It so happened their engine room flooded, and the thing had been under sea water for ? must have been a long time. Just the sight of those things, all white, looked like salt had accumulated on those. Dunno whatever the factory did with them, probably total loss and made new ones. Those were BIG transformers, size of a small table. |
