From: Geoff on 11 Nov 2006 05:15 Dan, I don't think there is anything to be amazed at - and I think you've missed a lot of posts, even over the last 5 days. Brian bashing has been the least of them. Like you, my livelihood is based on VO applications although the VO proportion is now steadily declining. I am one of the strongest advocates for VO (yes, perhaps one of the noisiest <g>) and there are many others. But the note and tenor of your response is a little misplaced in this instance. Clearly VO has a problem and clearly Brian is part of that problem. It is important and relevant for the VO constituency to continue to pressure GrafX for a better deal. I guarantee you that had we not, we would be far, far behind where we are now. What has gone on with VO32 over the last 24 months is really poor and we and the product deserve a much better deal. But equally, if folks can't handle a little bit of light hearted banter on the weekend well then I will be truly amazed <g>. Will, (I thought you had me in your kill file?) > No, what has gone on here for the past 24 months has been a handful of > people causing mischief. There is no mischief. Please point to it. Mischief implies deliberate errors of fact and there are none. There have been some dissenting opinions but find me a news forum that doesn't have those. Please start with Delphi, Oracle and Microsoft. This forum has had dissenters going back to Compuserve days. What's the issue? Either engage in reasonable debate or ignore them. > Light hearted banter!? Then Australian english must be quite different > to what is spoken hear in the UK. No, even for UK'ers, most would see the few threads here and there are either childish or irrelevant and either participate in the same manner or ignore them. Loosen that stiff upper lip just a little... Geoff |
