Whatever data rate you're getting, it's nothing compared to the data that flows out of CERN when the detectors are running. They throw away almost all of the measurements they make. The data rates they end up with after disposing of most of the measured data are staggering. I don't think any other organization works with such streams - I assume Google handles similar magnitude data flow looked at over the whole world, but CERN's stuff all just comes out of one lab. I love the way you incorrectly assume I haven't. Yes, a change of ISP may be on the cards if they can't sort it, but I'm pretty sure that it's a problem at the exchange and not the ISP. I don't change ISPs lightly. Tests are being run and an engineer may be visiting. We'll see. I trust you have tried disconnecting everything and running the ADSL modem straight off the master socket to see what signal strength/throughput you get? -- Bruce Horrocks Surrey England (bruce at scorecrow dot com)

Different routers. Different phones. Test socket (faceplate off) Pretty sure the fault isn't within my walls.
