Shades of the KKK [klueless kabal of kunts] eh! Lew. This Bottoms is a real
OS fascist. *sigh*

Is that from actually installing it, or are you just going by the
screenshots?

Even the payware OS makers admit that it supports more hardware, at
least over the past several years.

Even the some of the more sluggardly hardware vendors are coming around.
<http://www.magicjack.com/5/faq/> was one you were concerned about, no?

I find Gnome approximately as counterintuitive as Windows®, but
Windows® is much *less* intuitive than KDE or Xfce.

Luckily, people using a free OS have many more choices when it comes to
the interface, so they can find one that they work best with.

People who are interested should give it a try. Some will stick with a
payware OS, and some will switch to a free one. And some people will
get so upset about the whole idea of a free system that they'll use the
freeware newsgroup to advocate against trying one; ironic, isn't it?

> especially when so few people use it.

Gazillions of payware OS users can't be wrong about it being the best
system for them, can they? I mean, didn't IE's 95+% market share prove
it was the best browser on the market for years? (I was using a free
browser, and I recall a lot of a.c.f-ers doing the same, but those are
exactly the kind of fringe freaks whose choices don't matter, right?)

I find Windows® users unhappy about a lot of things with it, but inertia
and other factors keep them from really giving something else a try.
There are good, free alternatives to check out if anyone's so
inclined. I'm much happier using the system that I now have than I
ever was when using Windows®.
