Is it? Maybe I should start posting pictures of my C64 to strengthen my point in an unrelated discussion - according to the above it conveys exactly the same meaning. Somehow, I feel I'll be terribly disappointed by the result though. -- Martijn van Buul - pino(a)dohd.org

I did not say they convey the same meaning. Re-read the paragraph you quoted. Do guns scare you? They do not scare me, any more than a computer or a car does. I suppose the fact that I understand what it means to have a carry permit gives me an advantage here. I know that since he has one, regardless of whether or not he seems like a jerk, he's not someone I would fear having a gun. And neither should you. My first thought when I saw his picture was: "I'm glad I don't carry a 1911, I don't like how easy it is for my clothing to catch on it." I take it from some of the responses here that the first thing thought, irrationally, by others was "ooh, that looks evil, bad, mean, dangerous!" Seriously, some of you should do yourselves a favor and go get some range time. -- -Brandon http://www.brandonstaggs.com/c64.html

The only c64 I ever owned had a 45 caliber hidden in the case, pointing at the user. I built a circuit to scan the bus and look for the sequence "THE END". The firearm was triggered at this point. The first guy that tried a text adventure ended the project.

So we're your gun-waving-at-anonymous-target audience? How low can you possibly go. Does this mean I can forward any of my rants at you, too? Pretty please? -- Martijn van Buul - pino(a)dohd.org |
