What makes you think it's all champagne and world cruises for *us*???
I've had my share of bad/sad circumstances, including divorce, loss of
my parents, ill health, and most recently (due to the Great Recession)
economic hardship. Through it all, I never felt the least urge to
believe in any supernatural beings, or to pray to them to solve my
problems.
