It seems one of your notions of a photon is that it consists of
subparticles and it is the subparticles which are propagating through
the available slits.

The issue with this idea is then the photon itself is behaving as a
wave. If you place detectors at the exits to the slits the instant
before the photon is to exit the slit(s), how is it the photon is
always detected exiting a single slit? If the photon consisted of
subparticles traveling through all of the available slits, it would be
impossible in nature, for the photon to be detected exiting a single
slit. That is why some who choose to believe in the Copenhagen
interpretation of QM have to rely on the future determining the past.
In their delusional state, they have chosen to believe the photon/C-60
molecule/particle will enter one or multiple slits depending upon what
is going to occur in the future. The photon/C-60 molecule/particle
will enter one or multiple slits depending on 'if' there will be
detectors at the exits to the slits, or not, when the particle gets
there. Now we both know that is absurd.

Whatever it is you want to think of a photon to be, I suggest you
consider the photon's ability to be detected as a particle to travel a
single path and the associated wave to propagated available paths.

OK, then I am somewhat confused as to what you think enters and exits
the slits in a double slit experiment when performed with a photon,
electron, or C-60 molecule.

What is exiting the slits which allows interference to occur?
