From: Charlie Russel - MVP on 27 Dec 2006 01:54 Look, just set you system to not automatically reboot on error, and then tell us what the error is, just as John suggested as the very first reply to you. We might actually be able to help you then. -- Charlie. http://msmvps.com/xperts64 "GoingCrazy!" <GoingCrazy(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:773E555C-4301-41C9-9266-246A06AE69D7(a)microsoft.com... > > > "John Barnes" wrote: > >> Think you are right. From: GoingCrazy! on 27 Dec 2006 09:52 OK here are my system specs: AMD-64-X2-4800+(dual core) CPU - 939 Pin on a dfi-nf4-infinity motherboard; RAM 2GB PC3200; HDD - 400GB SATA; Video - VC Radeon X1300 512MB pcie ATI; after loading XP Pro X64 I went to the web site for each piece of hardware and download the most current drivers for XP Pro x64 OS... Problems really amplified after I updated with MS online! Yes my OS verified fine with MS and it is not a bootleg OS. I paid $100 for the OEM OS. Would have loved to load Vista, but not an option 2 months ago. Thought I would take advantage of the 64 bit computer... but not in the cards at this point. From: Dshai on 27 Dec 2006 14:27 I guess my first question is going to be whether or not the upgrade from MS included any device drivers, this can and has caused past problems for myself and several others that I know. From: GoingCrazy! on 27 Dec 2006 15:07 You know who knows, and why should it matter? If MS is updating your system then why would they force drivers into it that will hose you up? I have since reloaded the most current driver for my Mother board and video card and the same system crashes keep happening. I keep reading the praise of MS, but in the same breath they say things like don't do a MS online update and the such??? I'm not a system wise man, but if it looks like "" and smells like "" then I'm not going to drink the kool aid! As we've all said from the beginning. Please provide the crash codes. We can't help you if you won't tell us what the problem is. "crash" could be anything. It almost certainly is a hardware problem, but WHAT hardware only the stop error codes will tell us. Complaining about MS when it's a hardware or driver problem is not going to help anyone, especially you. Providing the details of the problem might allow us to point you at a solution. (And just to be completely clear - MS is NOT responsible for hardware drivers. The OEMs are.) -- Charlie. http://msmvps.com/blogs/xperts64 "GoingCrazy!" <GoingCrazy(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:B19C23EA-4CB0-4A6E-A467-817FA89DF281(a)microsoft.com... > You know who knows, and why should it matter?
