I'm beginning to suspect hardware rather than software; > besides, it isn't an Epson. A problem I have with the SX105 on both my iMac and Anne's PC (and especially with the latter) is that the printer sometimes becomes unavailable when the computer has been to sleep. Either it says "No connection" or it just hangs, thinking it is sending data to the printer. Curiously, this doesn't affect the scanner (it is an all-in-one), which works perfectly even though the printer hangs. Is this anything like your situation? A throw-away remark I read some time ago suggests that it is endemic among printers. It can easily be remedied by turning the printer off and on again. But some printers do a head check when you do this, which wastes ink. I have found with the SX105 that I can rectify the problem as follows. Hold the docuent, Pause Printer, unplug and replace the USB connection, Resume Printer and Resume the document. John. -- Please reply to john at yclept dot wanadoo dot co dot uk.

Working here now (08.12 on 12/06/2010). It must have been a temporary glitch, then. John. -- Please reply to john at yclept dot wanadoo dot co dot uk.
