All have been connected to our NTL modem (yes - it's that old) - and absolutely zero issues with that arrangement. The Airport has been excellent - easy as anything to configure and works very well (for us). And I would likely get another one should we need to. But it should be pretty simple to get the Linksys working if the hardware is OK. There is probably a way of doing a factory reset - and that might be a good starting point. Also check for updates - and apply. -- Rod

You might be best off just resetting it to factory defaults and going from there. If it still doesn't work then it's failed hardware. There is definitely a more recent firmware, tho not sure how to install when I can't get it online. Also, will the factory reset kill the password and the 18 char wireless password ?
