Hi Susan,

You can ask all the dumb questions you want....

If I need to contact CSS then I will do that and pay for it.

I come here looking for help because it is free just like the rest and I
know that. I don't need your dumb comments, they don't help.

Everyone who posts in these forums obviously are looking for free help
before they have to resort to paying for it. I'm sure if you were looking
for help your would look here first before calling CSS to pay...

Honestly there have been times I've not asked, merely googled on the
newsgroup (google groups) and known I'd not seen the issue before so I
needed to call. I can point to several times where I've called and
never posted in a newsgroup because I knew I needed a timely answer, not
one that depended on the kindness of strangers.

Before you rip out that server and start all over, ask yourself about
the price tag of that call is all.

I was specifically reacting to your comment that you didn't even want to
pay to email them and was contemplating ripping out the server and
starting over. That's a big price tag to your firm and one that you
should think about carefully. That's what I was reacting to.

This is the free forum, but we don't guarantee anything. They do. The
comment was more to ensure that you stopped yourself, stepped back and
thought about the costs that both paths take. I do call CSS and I have
paid. I know what can be fixed in a free newsgroup and what things need
a phone call.

There have been many a time that I've not asked in a newsgroup but gone
straight to a phone call. I know what can be done in a newsgroup
setting and what needs a dedicated call.

You need to reinstall Exchange from inside the SBS setup but from the
various threads I don't know how good of a real SBS install you have
therefore you need eyes that know what they are looking at, not us
trying to guess as what's on your box. The instructions you are posting
appear to be from Exchange standard setup info, not SBS. You need to
start the reinstall from the SBS setup.

In this phone call where someone who can advise you if it really is
wiser to nuke and pave or if this is salvagable.

If you don't want to call Microsoft check out www.thirdtier.net but they
too need a fee.

You honestly don't need a newsgroup, you need trained eyeballs to help you.

That's all I'm saying.
