mv *.c backups1/. I ran this command in the place where I keep my c source files, with a subdirectory named backups1. Increasing the sound volume in video files I have a few video files with soundtracks that are a bit difficult to hear - that is, when playing them I have to crank the settings in my sound board to their maximum settings, if I am to hear the soundtracks at all.
