Could call it scaremongering.
What makes you think the others don't do something similar, but just
aren't as OPEN about it ?

I use the Iron derivative of Chrome, and find it fine.
Comodo's Dragon is also a Chrome derivative and also good.

There is an old and wise saying in czech language,
freely translated as:

There is no discussion against personal preferences.

The best depends on how the best is defined.

I'm getting more and more confused now! firstly, I cannot get to the
above link so I don't know what it says. Are you saying that SR Iron
also tracks pokes prods etc. same as Chrome, only I thought that Iron
was Chrome without the intrusive stuff? If it isn't, then what is the
point of it? I may as well use Chrome anyway.

I'm also trying to find out if Lastpass works with Chrome/Iron but
cannot find out.

No. Somehow you missed a negative (or an undesirable 'positive').

Here was the original Craig posted:

In that context, the sentence:

IOW, if you want to be poked, prodded & tracked, you shouldn't use
SRWare Iron.

.... means that if you *DON'T* want to be poked-tracked, you *SHOULD* use
Iron.
