MT-NewsWatcher has built-in functionality to control how signatures are placed in messages. So you shouldn't be typing the dashes manually if you are using MT-NewsWatcher. Instead, simply: 1. Open MT-NewsWatcher. 2. From the menu bar, choose Special > Personalities. 3. At the top of the window, click the Headers * Misc. tab. 4. Click the "Signature & Headers" button. 5. Clear (uncheck) the "Insert '-- ' before signature" checkbox. 6. Clear the "Append signature to messages" checkbox. Does your Signature & Headers dialog box not have these options?: <http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/3796/signatureheaders.png> -- Send responses to the relevant news group rather than email to me. It was just an exercise to see if the sig dash would not be copied when replying to a post if there is no text below the sig dash. -- m-m http://www.mhmyers.com |
