I hope Portal 2 is as good as the first.

Having said that, I haven't yet finished the first one so - once it
makes it natively to the Mac - I'm gonna have to give it a go.

I have, somehow, managed to remain blissfully unaware of the specifics
of the ending, despite knowing general stuff like the offer of cake
being not exactly truthful.

I am honoured to have had a thread like this one flourish in my absence.
It ticks all the boxes...

Yeah, I'm expecting birthdays are going to change quite a bit - no more
foreign city breaks for a while at least... We're currently wondering
whether to give complete free reign (within a budget) to the kid with
gift decisions for our birthdays. It might be interesting to see how
soon the gifts turn from Lego, pirate hats or ballerina outfits to
things that Mummy and Daddy might actually appreciate...

That was unexpected! Thanks Hugh, and everyone else.

I was in Paris, so no work, no fizzy pop, and no jelly. But I did have
what was without doubt the most awe-inspiring cheeseboard I have ever
experienced. Nom nom nom.

(Curious case of history repeating itself - the last time I was in Paris
I was nestled in the womb as my Mum went there when she was pregnant
with her first child. This time, it's my wife who is pregnant with her
first child...)

Don't joke. I'm in the process of inheriting a Macbook Pro from my last
one...
