From: salgud on 4 Jan 2010 14:01 But she'd probably claw my face off. I've had nothing but troubles with my iMac since I bought it over a year and a half ago. Almost since it was new, I couldn't get any browser to work, using all normal funtions, on it. Safari mostly worked, but would bog down after a couple of hours, whether I was using it or not, and wouldn't load a page until I rebooted. FF wouldn't allow me to reply to blogs or to send email via an IMAP account. Sometimes, it couldn't load YouTube videos, or would let me run one or two, then bog down. I also tried Opera, Camino, Chrome (beta) and others. To top all that off, when I rebooted, my iMac couldn't see my internet connection and was telling me I didn't have one. Usually, after 5 or 10 minutes, it recognized the connection. Frustrating. Neither the cable company, who gladly came out and replaced my modem, though all the tests indicated it was fine, nor Apple, after 10 visits to the Genius bar in 14 months, could help. Apple finally gave me a new iMac, and copied my old system over, but the problem remained. I finally decided this weekend to install SL, hoping it would help. Voila! My iMac is once again a fully functioning machine! Don't know what SL does differently, I just know it was mostly a bug fix release, and it fixed my bugs! After I "test" rebooted about 10 times, with no problems finding my internet connection, I haven't had to reboot again all weekend. Can cruise the net to my heart's content, with no problems. Don't think I'll ever like my iMac the way I like my iPhone, but I'm certainly more fond of it now that it's fully working. I just hope it continues that way.

This economy is not only yours, it's mine too.

He hangs out in c.s.m.a and didn't get enough attention there so here it is. nobody is taken seriously in the advocacy groups anymore so there's going to be an influx on trolls in the months to come. Sounds like the OP needs to install the SL update. http://support.apple.com/kb/DL958 All the problems listed are ones I deal with on a daily basis with PCs from XP to 7 (or is it Seven?). However I wouldn't be surprised if the OP is a nym shifting troll trying to make Apple look bad. i.e. false flag op. -- http://www.vatican.va |
