From: Costas on 11 Dec 2007 14:11 Brian, The problem doesn't seem to be with the SpreadSheet or SharePoint. It is ISA related and I don't have an answer right now. From: Costas on 11 Dec 2007 16:00 Brian, Check Internet Explorer | Internet Options | Connections | LAN settings. If there is a proxy server used, uncheck the checkbox and see if that solves the problem. I'm not sure if that would be a permanent solution (assuming it helps) but I can't find much info on this type of error. My business server runs ISA and WSS 3.0 in parallel to WSS 2.0 and I tested your issue but I couldn't replicate it. -- Costas "Brian" <Brian(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:EAF40D09-C6DA-4C46-AA94-9A54E3870A16(a)microsoft.com... > Costas, > > http://newcompanyweb:21276/sites/NewCompanyWeb/default.aspx > > Yes.. looks like site uses port 21276. > > Didn't see 2170 listed when I ran netstat -ano on the server or > worksation. > > Brain > > > "Costas" wrote: > >> Brian, >> >> How do you try to access the site? From: Brian on 11 Dec 2007 18:39 Costas, Unchecked 'proxy'.. same problem. (also, 'Bypass proxy for local addresses had been checked). At this point (not actually using WSS3) I am open to reinstalling, and even other configurations.. What do you think about this: http://msmvps.com/blogs/cgross/archive/2007/02/04/companyweb-sharepoint-v3-part-5.aspx I am trying this out on a test box.. but I am not sure I want to go with an unsupported configuration on a production box. Although, it seems that the original companyweb could be side stepped [if the /Remote site was edited to link to a NewCompanyweb; and if internal IE browsers were pointed at the NewCompanyweb for homepage] with no change to the original companyweb site. Also, Is this: http://msmvps.com/blogs/cgross/archive/2007/05/28/using-your-sql-in-sbs-r2-premium-as-a-back-end-for-wss-3-0.aspx a supported configuration? (SBS 2003 SP2 /w SQL 2000) Thanks, Brian "Costas" wrote: > Brian, > > Check Internet Explorer | Internet Options | Connections | LAN settings.
