Since we are all the same person to ''Sid'', every entry in his killfile
is the same person. Indeed, every post not by ''Sid'' is made by the
same person!

Don't ask me why I'm following up to myself; it'd just confuse me.

If you're familiar with "Sidney Lambe's" posts, he claims that's what
GUIs are (maybe not government, but still a plot).

Indeed. I/we all know that there is only one person who has nothing
better to do than haunt the same newsgroups as Sid, posting under
hundreds, if not thousands of pseudonyms, just to express an opinion
that differs from his. I/we know this, because Sid has said so, on
numerous occasions. And of course, Sid by his very nature can *never* be
mistaken.

Be careful when replying to him, lest he find out that you too are a
part of me/us.

You all got me to thinkin' of just how old I am, and why have I lived this
long astounds me; to be in good health too with a touch of BP medication.

73 damn years and seems like I'm still learning a bit each day and would
enjoy a person to person chat with ye old farts any day.

Made my first crystal set when I was about 10.

I was thinking of those old radios I tore apart for parts, the really old
readios with twin variable capacitors I was given by an elderly fellow who
had it all stored in his garage. That was a crime!

I'm far from the oldest person reading this group. But medications
seem to be a way of life - you know you're still OK when you can
recite the brand name, generic name (pronouncing/spelling them for
the nurse), and dosage of each one you are taking.

Well, 75 is now the life expectancy at birth, and if you survive that
long, there are still insurance companies that want to sell you a
life insurance policy with premiums such that they won't make money
unless you continue to pay more for more than 12 years.

with a piece of real galena, not some pre-packaged diode.

Were they really twins (identical physical size) or mere duals (with
the back section usually about 2/3 the size of the front section).
True twins would be a TRF, or a [super-]regen with an RF amp for
isolation. Duals, are a common super-het. Old broadcast radio
freaks should be able to list at least three vintages of the so-called
"all-american 5" radio - the original octal, the later octal, and the
miniatures - citing specific tube type numbers. Was the filament on
pins 3-4 or 2-7? What does it take to substitute a type 80 with a
5Y3? Or a 7C5 with a 6V6 for that matter. ;-)

Yeah, his wife screaming at him to get rid of all that old junk so
she could store the dress-makers dummy out there.
