Most ISPs in the US provide some sort of news access included in the service
fee--$10 - $20 for dialup, and $30 - $40 for DSL. But then I'm sure BAH is
going to trot out some sob story about how her ISP is *sooooo* much worse
than anything anywhere else in the US....

Point. I haven't gone barefoot since I lived with my folks.
Urban places have too much broken glass that never gets
cleaned up.

That you feel justified in extrapolating from your first sentence to your
second sentence is simply mind-boggling. You're saying "The US system is
broken, therefore we cannot change it." It's like you look for ways for you
personally to keep things from working the way that they're designed to.
