I must admit to not being a great fan of linux software distribution methods, especially all the package managers, I have always had problems with them. > Debian is the standard for server distros, but with a PPC Mini you're a > bit limited for choice with Linux. Yes, that was one of the issues why I picked it. It seems not to bad for a straight server, and if I didn't need java and I had the patience to set up mail properly again, it would be a good system. I would imagine that all these things are solvable if I had enough time to search the web, fiddle, search the web again, but I really don't at the moment. Sadly both of those aren't true, so it seems I would be better off running OSX. -- Woody

I find they work brilliantly until you run into a dependency conflict, at which point you can end up in a situation which can be impossible to resolve. b. -- <bas(a)bas.me.uk> <URL:http://bas.me.uk/> `Zombies are defined by behavior and can be "explained" by many handy shortcuts: the supernatural, radiation, a virus, space visitors, secret weapons, a Harvard education and so on.' -- Roger Ebert

They don't sell 10.5 server anymore do they? -- Woody
