Resources for a Career Switcher? So far all of the information I've seen regarding careers in math is aimed at math majors. I have a degree in computer science and I'm eying applied math, perhaps scientific computing. I don't know if I need a degree in applied math in order to make this switch. If I do, fine, but it's one of probably many thing... 30 May 2010 18:42
about squarefree integers Let T(x) denote the number of squarefree integers between 1 and x. T(x) = 6 * pi^-2 * x + O( x^(1-ln(2)) ) this is my teenage challange , tommy's jugendtraum if you like. regards tommy1729 ... 2 Jun 2010 13:09
OPEN CHALLENGE TO CURRENT MATHEMATICS ON PRIME NUMBERS LIST We are told that current mathematics has programs that can develop Prime number list into trillions. We have, using our -1 tangent method from scratch developed a program that can not only develop infinite Prime number lists but that which has 1.Consecutive Prime numbers till ever, WITHOUT one error or miss. ... 30 May 2010 10:01

give myself an A+++ in mechanical engineering today for fixing garage door with torsion spring A very strange thing happened to me both yesterday and today. I closed the garage door, of which I have double garage doors, and as I closed the door, I felt the door come crashing to the cement, and instantly realized that the coiled torsion spring inside had broken. So I went inside the house to get to the garag... 30 May 2010 03:38
PHOTONS AND CANNONBALLS IN A GRAVITATIONAL FIELD The speed of light and the speed of cannonballs vary with the gravitational potential in exactly the same way. This principle established by Newton's emission theory of light was adopted by Einstein in 1911: http://www.physlink.com/Education/AskExperts/ae13.cfm "So, it is absolutely true that the speed of light ... 7 Jun 2010 03:07
Methods of Proving all of Incompleteness in Logic in Trivially Short Proofs & a Challenge There are various ways in which we can prove the 3 fundamental results of Incompleteness in Logic (Godel 1931, Rosser 1936, Smullyan 1961) in a simple, almost trivial, proof. The entire proof is very short, but may be completely dominated by self reference. This is in contrast to published proofs which are many... 30 May 2010 01:31
New Anti-Cantor Attack |-|ercules says... Cantor's second proof of 'uncountable infinity' is based on trying to >enumerate the powerset of naturals. symmetry of superclusters Chapt 11, Space is EM; magnet & iron filings Experiment #116; ATOM TOTALITY Let me talk about some symmetry in all of this. Seems as though most astronomers and physicists do not have time to drop things and look for or talk about symmetry of the superclusters and voids. Look at this picture once again carefully for symmetry: http://www.atlasoftheuniverse.com/nearsc.html Notice tha... 29 May 2010 16:51
