Help with a Diophantine system in four variables? Hello all, Can anyone find another solution to, a + b + c + d = x^2 a^2+b^2+c^2+d^2 = y^2 a^3+b^3+c^3+d^3 = z^3 other than {a,b,c,d} = {10, 13, 14, 44}? - Titus ... 24 Jun 2010 06:22
Mersenne primes This fails for 2047 = 23 x 89. The number 2048 will not appear in this table. Taking m>n, and making rows in the triangle by m, then for n=0 (the smallest entry in a row) T(m,n)=2m. That means if 2048 is to appear, it must appear in the first 1024 rows. It does not. Checked by Mathematica: Input: TAB = Flat... 23 Jun 2010 12:52
PRIMAILTY TEST DONE FOR ANY NUMBER - HOPE RESEARCH ANNOUNCEMENT--- Very Simply we have the capability today of taking any Number no matter how large, and within minutes be able to confirm if that is a prime number . This is done by computer reverse program. As to primality formula by Hand, this will take time, it is complex, but it is mathematically possible, if one calculat... 23 Jun 2010 11:44
Vedic astrology is not intuition of Rishis.!! This is a commentary on the above email story and it is very interesting. After reading the last emails circulated by some organisations, it is reassuring to feel like a proud indian, until one realises that the assumptions in these articles are based on myths and blind faith. Such emails are circulated repea... 23 Jun 2010 22:47

Different take on birthday problem Hi, I would like to ask your help in coming up with an answer to the below, which appears in a way an inverse birthday problem... Represenative of ideal class group. Hi~ I have a question in algebraic number theory. It is known that the ideal class group of a number field is finitely generated abelian group and so it is isomorphic to the direct product of finite cyclic groups. Then, for each cyclic component of ideal class group, is it possible to choose a prime ideal r... 23 Jun 2010 15:05 |
