I like Wasbit's lists too. I'm *hoping* he'll encourage discussion of
the apps when he posts a list.

I don't see lists and discussion as an either/or kind of thing. IMO
lists of apps and discussion of the apps on the list go together like
ham and eggs, bread and butter. . .

I think if the OP had wanted to add his commentary he would have done
so without prodding. He did his part to trigger discussion by bringing
100+ apps to our attention. Responders should have made use of one of
the provided links to start a discussion of their own.

Why all the loaded language?

I made a request (please ask for comments). I did NOT suggest the OP had
not "done his part" and the OP is free to ignore my "prodding".

I don't think potential responders "should have" done anything. I *DO*
think it would be interesting if people posted comments about the apps
and I suggested encouraging them to make such responses.

IMO threads about "my favorite Freeware" tend to suffer from a lack of
focus. IMO threads discussing "PDF Freeware" or "text editors" etc. are
more interesting. IMO lists of apps and discussion of the apps on the
list go together like ham and eggs.

YMMV
