Never happened to me either, with MX700, MX1000 and MX Revolution
wireless mices. The Logitech Control Centre has been surprisingly well
behaved if a bit feeble in its options.

I do want to take this opportunity to tell PeterC again that there are
at least two ways of adding double-click to a Magic Mouse, neither of
which change any other behaviour. BetterTouchTool and MagicPrefs.

I exlusively use logitech wireless mice an my machines and haven't seen
that problem either.

Yes, I remembered that, but when I first came across the Magic Mouse,
which was when it was first launched and we went on the works outing to
the Applestore to play with them, I was jolly pissed off to find that I
couldn't configure it to double click on the right button [1]. Whereas
the Logitech mice come with an extension that allows me to configure the
clicks the way I like them. Why Apple won't include that, I don't know,
apart from the iSteve's control freakery. However, I don't complain
about that as it is certainly part of his character that has given us
the most beautiful and effective machines in existence.

[1] I know some people see this as the work of the devil but they are
wrong as can be. Ctrl-click is easy, and brings up all the rt-click
options. And I use it maybe once a month, if that. Whereas double click
on the right button I use several times an hour, maybe several times a
minute. No contest; contextual click is an interesting but useless
feature. Double-click is simply essential.

Oh, and I forgot; it costs around 50, and I need to get two. The
Logitech mice I'm getting cost 7.50 each. Although they do less, they
still suit me down to the ground, and the gestural stuff is less useful
than the Ctrl-scroll zooming and similar stuff that I prefer.

All true - shame that "lots of options" rather precludes "beautiful
and effective". I certainly fall on the latter side these days, except
on those cases where I have to rummage through lots of options to get
something to behave the way I need it to (viz use of Agent.exe as my
newsreader...).

Interesting how usage experiences can be so different, even on a
system that has low levels of options. I hardly ever double-click
things (cmd-o gets more use), but I use right- and middle-click
constantly.

I think I even use triple-click more than double-click, but that's due
to Firefox doing selection wrong in some edit fields - it should be a
single click to highlight all.
