Anyone know of a picture viewer like Irfanview for the Mac? Failing
that, is there anyway to create smart folders that automatically refresh
the contents in iPhoto?

Try either of these two freeware products. SeaShore has more
functionality.

Xee: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/imaging_3d/xee.html
SeaShore: http://seashore.sourceforge.net/

Xee: nice but no thumbnails
Seashore: even more primitive than Xee

Must have a nice (adjustable) thumbnail viewer, auto refreshing folders
(why is this so hard for Mac apps?), good slideshow.

Xnview, seems great but it's really buggy and not ready for prime time.

Graphic Converter doesn't auto refresh. It's like iPhoto. What's up with
that?
