This alone is evidence for the graininess or particle nature of light." In a double slit experiment the photon is not detected like an ocean wave hitting the shore. The photon is registered as an individual point. It requires many photons to create the interference pattern. When the photon is detected a very small region of the photon wave collapses and is detected as a quantum of mæther.
