Unfortunately AVI is a wrapper format, so even if you had a tool to fix one, it may not fix another. What about the wmv though ? I have full installations of the latest quicktime and Realplayer.. Is there any hope of playing them ? H

It seems to open a surprising bunch of files, some of which I have as system and alert sound files from an ancient, obsolete OS8 machine.
