GTO wand problem resolved (???) IMPORTANT INFORMATION I just spoke with a customer-service rep at GTO. He said that they care about their customers and want them to be happy. Desoldering a Tuning Fork Can I have a tuning fork can sealed with solder. Similar to a sealed crystal can. My 200W soldering gun doesn't even seem to have enough BTU's to melt very much of the solder on the can. Any suggestions? It is a rather large heat sink capacity. Do you think splicing 100' of wire onto a GTO exit wand would work? I bought too short of a driveway-gate exit wand (GTO FM139 = 50 feet); I need 150 feet. Nobody told me (so I'm saying it here), one really needs about 150 feet if they want the driveway gate to be open by the time the moving mass of metal (i.e., automobile) reaches the gate.
