Yes, it bogs down a bit, I guess it can't cache too much in memory
because there isn't much.

There's no way to update Safari without updating the entire iPhone OS.

Thanks all - I rebooted and it's fine now. I need to keep an eye on
those open pages as well.

I have 8 pages open at all times and haven't had that. I guess it is one
of those things.
Mind you I use iCab mostly (although it is still safari underneath)
