You really need to buy or use a dictionary. A fictional device is
something imagined as a pretense to move the plot forward in a
literary work. None of the devices I am working on are fictional in
this sense - and so, you are wrong yet again Freddie.

There's a few areas of Mook expertise that's better than average, and
at least he seldom uses those silly closing signature quotes. In a
think tank, Mook can always play the part of the dart board, while
sometimes otherwise being a dart. Unfortunately, we'll all be long
dead and gone before that first commercial tonne of Mook's green
hydrogen gets delivered.

Mook energy from space is technically doable, and those nuclear
powered rockets do seem like a good idea.

I am authentic and true - the very opposite of fraud.

> Claiming that something exists which

True, which is why I make no such claims.

> making the thing you claim exists
> 'fictional'.

A fiction is a statement that does not comport with reality. What
have I said that does not comport with reality? All of my statements
are firmly based in reality - making them the very opposite of
fictions.

Real things exist as ideas before they exist as material things. In
fact nothing that is made by the hand of humanity can exist before it
first exists as an idea in someone's head. These things are the very
opposite of fictions.

> You have no launch vehicles.  You have no hardware.

I have workable and detailed designs and plans for such things

> Fictional.

You either don't understand the usage of the term 'fictional' and the
pernicious nature of your repetition of this lie has in relation to my
plans, in which case you're very dense - or perhaps you do - in which
case you are evil. In either case any reasonable person would ignore
you. In fact, since your stalking and bashing me seems emotionally
motivated - ignoring you would be the best thing to do - since all you
are doing is an attention seeking behavior.

> Oh, and even by YOUR definition it's fictional...

Not at all.

From: Damien Valentine on
So let's recap (since there's an awful lot of quoting being thrown
around). Mr. Mook mentioned a "superlaser", which is a device from
the "Star Wars" franchise.

Someone criticized this plan, since it relies on a device that doesn't
exist. Mr. Mook claimed that "none of my stuff is fictional",
implying either that when he says "superlaser", he doesn't actually
mean a device like the example he gave...or else that he has a fully
armed and operational battle station in his attic.

Then Misters Mook and McCall just started repeating their points over
and over again, with Mr. Mook curiously insisting that since he's not
writing a novel, his plan does not rely on "fictional" devices...and
then claiming that his opponents are either stupid or "evil".

Have I got this right?
