If your NNTP server doesn't carry those newsgroups, connect your newsreader to Mozilla's own free NNTP server (news.mozilla.org).

I decide to go ahead and start installing. FireFox 3.5 is now working fine on Win 7 and I have installed the 2.0.0.4 TBird. I was doubtful about the current TBird running on Win 7, so I am now setting up the older version 2.0.0.4 of TBird which is what I now have running on Win2K. This was easier than I had thought and I like the familiarity. Have a great week :-)

Actually I prefer using the portable version since I can also run them under Wine when I am in Linux. It saves having to play with profile incompatibilities between Linux & Windows.
