After that long you should be able to end your contract without paying the remainder and get a PAC from them. I did this for the same problem at a different location anyway. Took a while to speak to anyone with any knowledge or sense at Vodafone - really made me angry. I don't think they're as good as they used to be, although, I guess that's personal experience!

Legally, the consumer's contract is with the service provider and it is their responsibility to ensure performance of the contract. Any contract between the service provider and their suppliers is their problem to sort out.
