Phil, btw - OT - how did you make out with those GPOs? Ace

He got side tracked by a different DR situation at another client,...never got back to it at all yet. I just do whatever he askes me to do,..so if he wants me to drop something and work on something else, that's what I do :-) The system is runnig "ok" at the moment. I did, prior to that, get rid of all the excess policy settings and the logins are quick like they should be and the whole thing seems to be running very smooth in-spite of itself. Last I heard the plan was to create a new AD Domain and migrate over and dump the old domain,..so it might never get actually fixed. Personally, I do believe the premissions thing that you decribed is the root of the problem,..but I don't know if we will ever get to find out for sure. -- Phillip Windell The views expressed, are my own and not those of my employer, or Microsoft, or anyone else associated with me, including my cats. -----------------------------------------------------

I think a migration is the better bet. :-) Let me know if I can help you moving forward with this whichever way he wants to take this. Cheers! Ace |
