Rowland, I think that you are fundamentally a decent and likeable
person. I know I'm not the only person who thinks that.

It's why I think that some of the things you say represent something
that isn't fundamentally you.

Whatever that something is, it's not very pleasant, and I don't like
encountering its manifestations. I have no doubt that it's infinitely
more unpleasant for you.

I think it says something that there are numerous people here who
consider you to be a warm, generous and helpful person, despite your
having at times a presence that is the opposite of that.

I can't deal with that presence, so when it's around I just wait for it
to pass, and reveal the person that I know and like.

Thanks to Rowland McDonnell.

But as for all you other smug, sanctimonious, anally-retentive twits,
no so much. It is guys like you that give Britain a bad name.

I thought Britain had a bad name for its inadequately-regulated banking
system, and a foreign policy that in recent years appeared to be based
on Tony Blair's personal relationships with George W. Bush and Jesus.

Your original question made it sound like you wanted to download films
from the Web. And generally this means "download commercial Hollywood
films". If that's not what you meant then fine, I'm sorry, and I would
ask you to clarify.

Bless.

And for the highest use of alcohol and other drugs in the 'civilized'
world. God help me, if I lived in a society where a huge proportion of
the population are represented by newspapers like the Sun, the Daily
Mail and the Telegraph, and the most popular television consisted of
Eastenders, Coronororation Street and the X Factor, I'd want to spend as
much time as possible in a chemical induced fog too.
Oh, wait...
