From: erilar on 3 Apr 2010 14:32 This is a weird one, at least for me. Suggestions, please! I can look for songs on iTunes, but I can't access my account. When I try to sign in, it tells me I'm not connected to the internet, which is definitely not the case. I don't see how I could get that response to a mistyped ID or password, but I've tried a couple variations just in case. All I get is this "not connected" nonsense. -- Erilar, biblioholic medievalist http://www.mosaictelecom.com/~erilarlo

Does this last through a quit and restart of iTunes? Does it last through a logout? Does it last through a restart? Have you tried it in a new Mac OS X user account? -- Send responses to the relevant news group rather than email to me. E-mail sent to this address may be devoured by my very hungry SPAM filter. I went back into some ancient mail from iTunes and got to a different help page where I could send them an e-mail, to which I've receive the auto response. I haven't upgraded iTunes for a long time, I'll admit, because I'm quite happy with my ancient iTunes 7 and have, over the years I've been using computers, found VERY few "upgrades" that don't throw out features I use constantly, only to replace them with others I have little or no use for. I could easily list those that improved without major drawbacks on one hand, and that's being generous. -- Erilar, biblioholic medievalist http://www.mosaictelecom.com/~erilarlo

The iTunes store has changed utterly in the past couple of days with the release of the iPad. You probably haven't heard of the iPad. No matter; not germane. Your sig says you're a mediaevalist. One wonders that you have electricity to run a computer. In the area of computer technology, those who resist change, whether it is due to nitpicking over some imagined loss of function as in your case or some other silly reason will always be hobbled by limitations. Recommendation: say goodbye to iTunes and learn to play the vielle roue or sackbuts or something like that. Davoud -- I agree with almost everything that you have said and almost everything that you will say in your entire life. usenet *at* davidillig dawt cawm
