I would say no, since I don't have those things installed and the update
wasn't even offered to me at the Windows Update website.

No ad, CD, commercial, cripple, demo, nag, share, spy, time-limited,
trial or web wares OR warez for me, please. Adobe Flash sucks, DivX rules.

WinXP Home SP3, all updates. No add-ons were installed. I install
Windows updates manually and no "Search Enhancement Pack" was offered.

Ditto here, but when I say "all updates", I mean only critical ones. I
learned long ago not to install hardware updates from MS's Windows
Update site. Almost every time that I have, I've experienced loss of
functionality with the component in question and have had to go back to
the previous version of the driver.

YMMV, but that's how it's been for me.

Notorious. I don't know why they still offer them.

Win7 64-bit here and no such update. I check all mine thoroughly before I
download/install anything.
