I just used to have music on a lot and push the noise of this into the background. PS it's also worth checking the lower front grille on these (behind the nostrils), if they get clogged it can raise the internal temps by a few degrees which is enough to start the centre fan running a wee bit faster/louder. -- Jon B Above email address IS valid. <http://www.bramley-computers.co.uk/> Apple Laptop Repairs.

Sorry, this is a bit late, but I have a Sonnet SATA card in my G4 desktop (the model before the MDD) and it boots fine off the SATA drive. The only problem is that the FW target mode only works with the internal PATA drive, so you can't clone or repair the SATA drive this way.

Not too late yet, I have a 200GB IDE drive off eBay that'll do for now, I'm just think about future needs. -- Andy Hewitt <http://web.me.com/andrewhewitt1/> |
