Amadeus Pro? I like it. But I'm currently using Toolplayer to convert .flac to something sensible. If I were seriously looking at lossless, I'd convert to ALC or AIFF and have my pure sound LSD trip. Being a geriatric with flannel ears, I don't see much point in bursting my download limits with stuff I can't hear any more. So I don't bother with lossless acquisition all that much. If I buy the CD, it is as lossless as I'm going to get, so I don't have any use for .flac HOWEVER! If only there were a decent way of getting 5.1 or 7.1 DTS or one of its uncles or aunts, that would be a different matter. I'd love to get music recorded in full surround, but it is hard to find anyone who sells it, or at least sells proper music recorded that way. I/think/ my Blu-Ray player will deal with some DTS audio disks, but finding Mac software that produces anything other than hiss has been a fail. -- To de-mung my e-mail address:- fsnospam$elliott$$ PGP Fingerprint: 1A96 3CF7 637F 896B C810 E199 7E5C A9E4 8E59 E248

Amadeus Pro? Wave Editor will import and export .flac although I've never needed to: <http://www.audiofile-engineering.com/waveeditor/> Stuart -- cut that out to reply |
