If it was Intel mac, the Disk Utility (or command line, I don't know) can do it free. http://www.coriolis-systems.com/iPartition.php When you partition, you either press ALT while booting or use System preferences to select 10.4.10 partition. In fact startup disk in system preferences show system version for that reason I think. Even if it is exactly same OS version, the "Repair" partition saved me many times. For example it is easiest way to restore missing system files. Ilgaz
