The thing I don't understand (I never did understand permissions anyway) is that for peter ceresole, it's read and write. For 'everyone' it's the same. But for 'staff', it's read only. Also try this: Open up Terminal.app (should be in Applications/Utilities) In the window type: ls -l press space and then drag your file into the window. You should then get the path to the file.
