ls -lO <then drag file here>

will tell us the BSD file flags (man chflags)

Well, so far 'get info' tells me that all can read and write to the
file.

Immutability is a separate set of flags used separately from the
permissions bits.

I think "user-immutable" is what the Finder calls the "locked" state.
There's a "system-immutable" flag as well, but that's pretty uncommon
and I don't know how Finder would show it.
