Asterisk in Debian/Lenny without Junghanns.net support?
Hi! Asterisk in Debian/Lenny claims to be bristuffed, not? At least the the Debian patch tracking system shows the bristuff-patches: [1] http://bit.ly/bRRHe7 We have a QuadBRI-Card and recently needed support from Junghanns.net but they refused telling us there is no bristuff installed because of the show v... 11 Apr 2010 14:32
Ubuntu vs Debian forums (was recompiling the kernel with a different version name)
No, these are normal everyday people who don't know what Windows or what Linux is. They have a problem, they call me. No bitching, no blaming. In that case there is no really meter what they have. Only you will do him a big favor if you put Debian because in that case they will be much safer fr... 11 Apr 2010 09:01
Boot / LVM best practices
I have a machine running Lenny with a 250GB IDE HD in it. The HD is on its last legs giving S.M.A.R.T. errors. I have a question about how best to divide things up in the new setup. The current 250GB IDE HD has two partitions on it: /dev/hda1 = linux (~80 MB) /dev/hda2 = linux LVM (~249.92 GB) I'm think... 16 Apr 2010 07:15
Console font turned cyan
> I don't know when it happened but it must have been during some "aptitude upgrade" run lately: My console font turned from white to cyan. At first I thought that the red VGA signal had a bad contact, I was recently experimenting with framebuffer settings, and when I tried certain settings, I got something v... 20 Apr 2010 16:05
Debian Lenny + Grub2 + kernel message log capturing
Hello, I was hoping to get some feedback or tips on how to setup a PCI serial card (not onboard) for kernel message log capturing. I am using Debian Lenny x64 with the grub2 bootloader. This might sound like an easy question, but does the Linux kernel module have to be compiled with the running kernel in order ... 11 Apr 2010 01:33
Want it? Give
Hiya I came across this blog http://ryanbigg.com/2010/04/want-it-give/ and I couldn't agree more with this person. But I would like to bring this a little more home, and make it in the Debian sense. I would like to encourage more people to run Debian Testing, get more debugging, but more importantly, p... 10 Apr 2010 23:23

rdesktop segmentation fault
We have found that the Lenny rdestkop-1.6.0-2 package seg faults reliably when using seamlessrdp. In fact, it seg faults on every other access. Apparently this is a known problem. We did apply the known patch. It works and we have packaged internally as rdesktop-1.6.0-2.1. Should we do anything with this package... 10 Apr 2010 11:17
