PicKit 2 WARNING
You can permanently destroy a PicKit 2 programming pod in an easy un-documented manner. 1) Tie one or more pins of a PIC MCU to ground; it does not help to have MCU program use the pin(s) as inputs. 2) Program then power up the MCU with the PicKit 2; you may need to do power down and power up a few times. ... 18 Sep 2009 12:14
Controlling pots digitally

Tariel Kapanadze - Radiant Energy from earth [2009]
Tariel Kapanadze[1], has invented a multi kilowatt free energy generator. Several different implementations are shown[2][3][4] In one such contraption the components include a radiator buried in the ground, a wire to a water pipe, a Tesla coil/joule thief, a spark gap, transformer, capacitors, 5 ferrite cores fro... 18 Sep 2009 11:06
B&K 4007DDS sweep generator
Anyone familiar with this or 4013DDS? Normally, one can read the manual for a product before buyng to get a pretty good idea of what it can do but in this case the manual is far from being comprehensive; http://www.bkprecision.com/products/docs/manuals/4007DDS_manual.pdf I'm used to range confining function gen... 15 Sep 2009 20:18
Lester J Hendershot - The Hendershot Fuel Less Generator
Around the 1920's Lester Hendershot, a keen aviator, was looking at trying to improve the Aviation Compass to make a more reliable Compass. He stumbled on a Energy Generator to be later named to the Hendershot Fuel-Less Generator. Some called the device the "Hendershot Magnetic Motor" or the "Hendershot Fuel-Less M... 22 Sep 2009 14:05
ECL logic SPICE models
Gentlemen, Does anyone know of a source for SPICE models of ECL gates? Unfortunately ON Semi only supplies IBIS models :-( I know, I know, much of this will fall under trade secrets or NDAs and can't be shared. Just wondering why some companies seem reluctant to share this stuff. Makes no sense since provid... 21 Sep 2009 14:35
Issues with LED grid driving
Is anyone familiar with driving large RGB led grids. Such as 32x32 using cascaded LED drivers. Actually my specific grid is 24x19(each point is one led and not an rgb). I have seen 24-ch led drivers along with 16-ch x 8-com(for 128 total led's). Think of the grid as a led matrix display panel as essentially it is... 10 Sep 2009 22:33
16-bit SPI trying to read from 22-clock cycle ADC
Hi, I'm trying to pull out data from the ADS8320 (a 16-bit ADC by Analog Devices. See bottom of page 10 in http://focus.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/ads8320.pdf ) using the SPI in an AT91SAM7S256. The problem is that the ADC needs 6 extra clock cycles to sample the analog signal, before the 16 cycles that will output ... 13 Sep 2009 09:33
