What's on your test bench? Over a 40 year period of interest, I've gathered some test equipment, AF Genny, RF Genny, Freq Counter, High Impedance Voltmeter, Wheatstone Bridge, Oscilloscope. None of these is particularly small and all are at least a 6" cube. It seems to me that the same functionality could be achieved these days with per... 8 Dec 2009 01:05
Clamp meters: Peak vs. In-rush? Fluke clamp current meters have 2 features that seem similar: peak and in-rush. The older models have Max (some: Peak). The recent advent in Fluke clamps is "In-rush". How do these differ? Isn't in-rush current the short, max current at motor-turn on? Shouldn't meters with a Max feature capture this accuratel... 16 Nov 2009 23:35

LeCroy scope recap. I guess since no one answered my question about strange flickering phenomena in the new Wave Surfer scope's LCD screen we just got, I conclude that no one here uses one. So i'll make a call tomorrow to inquire about this so they'll have it on record or maybe suggest that something is actually wrong wi... 8 Nov 2009 19:38
LM310/LM110 - need a replacement I need a replacement for this device in an 8pin dip package. Does anyone have an extra they want to sell or barter? These a unity gain, Jfet, buffers. Mine is being used in a sample and hold circuit that bit the dust. I'm trying to not have to kludge a fix. Thanks Jim ... 9 Nov 2009 22:15
Legacy Lambda Power Supply Schematic Search I'm looking for a schematic of an old Lambda supply model LDP-422A-FM. Does anyone have this or know where I might find a copy. My google searches have been futile at this point. Thanks for any help. Jim ... 8 Nov 2009 08:34
LM358 as an audio amp The LM358 datasheet doesn't specify EIN or S/N. I assume that's because it's not very good, but using one would simplify my circuit greatly as I only have +5V available without a lot of extra work. I need to buffer an audio signal and add a gain of 2. The input is about 1VRMS. THD is not super important, but I w... 4 Nov 2009 19:45
TIA Photodiode Bootstrap at 10MHz I need to bootstrap a photodiode in a TIA circuit similar to the way it is done as shown on page 18 of: http://cds.linear.com/docs/Datasheet/6244fa.pdf This example is much too limited in bandwidth. I need a 10MHz bandwidth. The bootstrapping is needed because of the low impedance of the photodiode. This is 15... 6 Nov 2009 12:34
