Just getting ready to go to bed Poko, shall wait until you try the
RegSeeker possible.

Nope - I'm done. I never use regseeker et al - not confident modifying
entries on my own. Now where's that 356?

Assuming you did read my 2 posts on using RegSeeker, including my
screenshots, try this.

In your add/remove applet, make a note of the programs before & after
the BLACK.

Then find those same two items in X-Setup. Is there something listed
between them??
All X-Setup Pro Plug-ins->System->Software Installation->Add or Remove
Programs List Editor. On the right-hand side it will give you a list in
alphabetical order of what should be in your Add/Remove programs (so
make sure you sort that by Name).

Select the item, then click "Edit CMD.." Don't actually edit the
command, just copy it (Ctrl-C). Then open a command window
(Start->Run->cmd.exe) and paste (usually just right-click with the
mouse) the command. Hit enter and it should uninstall whatever was
causing the problem."

Look for a bad key in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
It is the program before or after the blank space. AutoCad did this a while
back by having a comma at the end of it's line. Deleteing the comma fixed
it.
