I never used Adobe products for pdf needings. In my humble opinion, Adobe
softwares are not professional but only expensive.

Well, it is a java application so I suppose you do-not-have-java
installed / wrong java version / broken java installation.

I paid the maintainer a couple of euros for the enhanced version, great
application well worth it.
