You may be speaking too soon. StreetView has just been extended to cover my area, so I've been looking round. It's hung up on me three times so far (the picture starts to come into focus, then stalls - none of the controls work and all you can do is hit the browser's reload button, which takes you right back to where you started). Looks as if it's not just the Google Earth app which is having problems. Phil Taylor

Innaresting. That hasn't happened to me so far. I'm using Firefox 3.6.2, OS10.4.11 and an iG5. It also seems to work okay on Anne's MBP, Firefox 3.6.2, OS10.5.8, but I haven't used that nearly as much. But with the iG5, I've walked down quite a few newly included roads in the Lake District, without a glitch. Where are your newly pictured surroundings? -- Peter

It's taken quite a long time for the pictures to come online - they were taken around October 2008. Using Safari 4.0.5, OS 10.6.2, Intel iMac. I've just tried FireFox 3.0.14 (must get around to updating that) and it hung with a black screen as soon as I switched to StreetView. iCab 4.6.8 seems to work OK, although I didn't try it for long. Certainly a quick stroll down Knox Street and Victoria Road went without incident. Mind you, it worked pretty well in Google Earth too. -- Peter
